So, in my last house, shit was going down a lot and often ended in "Fucking hell Minto!"
In our new house, the problems have stemmed not from the landlord, but the previous tenants.

They were a bunch of Mr/s. Fix-its. Why call the landlord when you can take care of it yourself?* How about because you don't know shit?

A PRIME example:
We have AC(air conditioning) in our house.
There is a hose use for water from the moisture created as a result of the AC, hot air/cool air mixing blah blah. Watert goes through the hose, drains, all is right in the world.
Well, not this world.
Your hot water tank has a drain near the bottom of it. I know you know, humour me. Go figure, it's use to attach a hose and drain your hot water tank if needed.

Can you guess where this is going?
Yeah.
They hooked/taped/screwed(oh and cut about a metre of it off, because it was longer than the distance to the tank) the drain hose, to the bottom of the tank.

These people were idiots(also, hopefully none of the water that got backed up back into the furnace and vents, did any serious damage.)

*Because then you can be lazy and they can do it for you, duh. That's why you're paying them over a grand a month.
Also, if you're fixing everything that happens in the house, it means the landlords don't know about any issues with the house, when can be bad when more serious damages happen.
